Global warming and public health
Abstract
In contrast to all other developed nations, US is the only country where the government administration and a large segment of the general population are still debating the evidence for “global warming”! On the other hand, scientific community in US clearly believes that humans have contributed to global warming and our actions will now determine the future of humanity. While this issue of “global warming and public health” was addressed comprehensively in the American Public Health Association national meeting last year, American Pharmacist Association, whose members – the pharmacist, are the most accessible health care professionals to the public, this topic is rarely under consideration. We hope this article will start the dialog.
