The Role of Real-World Evidence based Research in Advancing Global Health Outcomes
Abstract
Real World Evidence (RWE) based research plays a crucial role in advancing global health by providing large-scale, real-world data on disease patterns, treatment outcomes, and population health trends. In contrast to randomized clinical trials, registries examine very diverse populations over long periods of time. This allows for a greater understanding of both acute and chronic conditions. This is especially vital in global health as disparities in access to care and health outcomes remain widespread. RWE data can aid in early detection of public health issues, inform policymakers, and help allocate resources effectively across various areas. Additionally, registries improve representation by including populations that are overlooked in traditional research to facilitate identification and address health inequities. Overall, RWE based research serves as a powerful tool for improving health outcomes and promoting equity on a global scale.
