Ayurvedic and Herbal Approaches to Weight Loss

Abstract

This review evaluates an Ayurvedic, gut–brain–focused approach to weight loss using herbal therapies. The review explores the biochemical, pharmacologic, and gut environmental factors associated with Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary proposed herbal regimen. Evidence suggests individual herbs may improve metabolic and neurological pathways; however, limited data on combined regimens highlights the need for caution, emphasizing the pharmacist’s and physician's role in ensuring safety, efficacy, and monitoring for herb–drug interactions.
