Pass the torch: A personal account from mentor to mentee

Abstract

A volunteer service experience through the Peace Corps may be one means of learning about oneself, while serving others.^1,2 Both the benefits and challenges of the Peace Corps are presented. In addition, this article provides a rich description of a personal experience in South Africa from mentor to mentee.
