Medical camp in Indian villages demonstrate the need for pharmacist services

Nissi Joseph

Abstract

Joseph Nissi and his team ran medical camps in the three villages of Ponnur, Bodapadu and Nidubrolu, in Andhra Pradesh, India. Of the 76 patients screened, camp doctors identified 16 new patients with hypertension. While one-time medical camps without follow up are often held all over the country, Jospeh Nissi has indicated interest in following up with these patients for next few years to measure the outcome of pharmacist intervention.
