Abstract

Availability of increased economic and professional opportunities in developed countries leads many students in middle income countries to seek better opportunities elsewhere. Due to immigration rules and visa restrictions, most young people from India come to United states as graduate students for their Master’s program. However, success following graduate school completion depends upon how aware and prepared students are in recognizing the challenges they face on arrival.
